Olympic Pooper Scooper's Mission

It is our mission to free dog parents throughout Port Angeles, Sequim  and Diamond Point of the dirty work of picking up dog poop. We want to make your life more about capturing the moments that matter to you, and less about picking up poo.

Leon Douglas | Owner

Ever since I was a little kid I was destined to end up with a dirty job. I’ve never been afraid to get dirty, work hard and have a good time doing it. Along the way of growing up, I found a connection to all animals, especially dogs. I’ve raised and cared for turtles, frogs, fish, cats, dogs, zebra finches, canaries, chickens, ducks, geese, pigs….the list goes on.

Fast forward to the winter of 2023, when Olympic Pooper Scooper was born.  I finally found an outlet for my desire to start my own business and make an positive impact in my community here in Port Angeles and Sequim. The best is that I get to be outdoors and around animals.

My hope is to grow this business to keep pace with the growing demand of dog waste removal services, and be able to provide stable jobs for other dog friendly people who don’t mind a dirty job.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most customers prefer once a week. We encourage this frequency for smaller yards, and yards with multiple dogs.

We also offer bi-weekly (every other week) and monthly service plans for those with larger yards or on a budget.

Twice a week is an option only being offered in Port Angeles at the moment.

One time clean ups, our final option, is for those that just need the help getting reset, move outs, and special situations that might need a dog waste removal service.

Olympic Pooper Scooper service Port Angeles, Sequim and its surrounding neighboorhoods.

We also make it out to Diamond Point.

If we get enough inquiries from areas beyond our service range, Olympic Pooper Scooper would be happy to expand out.

Nope. No contracts. Ever.

However, we ask that you enter this service with a long-term outlook. Dogs will never stop making their messes, and it is a long-term commitment to pick up after them. Olympic Pooper Scooper asks that if we exceed your expectations, that you allow us to earn your long-term business.

Olympic Pooper Scooper accepts all major credit and debit cards.

You will be sent a client portal login when you sign up. You can input your preferred payment method there, or call us and we would be happy to enter in your payment info for you.

We do not accept cash, checks, or Venmo.

We require a card to be on file for service to begin, and it will be charged on the 1st of the month for that month’s services.

When signing up for service for the first time, you will not be charged until your day of service and your first bill will be prorated based on the remaining service days remaining in the month based on your rate and service schedule.

One Time service will be charged on the day of service.

In most yards, there will be no extra cost on Olympic Pooper Scooper’s first service visit.

The first 5 gallons of waste removed is included in the price of signing up for your first month.

Each additional 5 gallon bucket of waste is $20. Again, this is only for our first time out to your yard. This policy is to account for those situations that require additional time and effort to scoop up a heavier first time waste load.

Most yards do not exceed the first 5 gallons of volume.

Nope. We are happy to work while you are away.

Most first time customers do like to be there on our first visit to meet our technician and show them yard to be scooped or introduce the dogs who might be in the yard while it is being serviced, but it is not necessary.

Please notify us to how to access  the yard and any specifics prior to our first visit.

Yes.

Olympic Pooper Scooper works through most weather all year.

Dogs keep making their messes all year long, and we will continue to clean up and remove their waste January 1st through December 31st.

Olympic Pooper Scooper will work in most weather, but there may be days when heavy rain, high winds, lightning, snow, ice and other unforeseen weather circumstances could happen.

In those cases, you will receive a text message notifying you that we will not be serving your yard on that day.

Will I still be charged if the weather prevents my service?

Yes. Please understand that we will have twice the waste to pick up the following week and that waste could still be damp with rainwater making it an even more unpleasant task.

We take the following days off

1) New Year’s Day.

2)Memorial Day.

3)July 4th.

4)Labor Day.

5)Thanksgiving Day.

6)The week of Christmas.

We will also take a vacation from time to time and notify you in advance.

If my service day falls on a holiday or vacation day, will I still have a weekly charge?

Yes, please understand that we will have a double week’s worth of waste to remove upon our return.

If a vacation takes us away for more than one of your service days, Olympic Pooper Scooper will prorate that month or discount the following month service.

There could be times when your service is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, the most common being an illness, injury, or a vehicle breakdown.

In these cases, you will be given as much notice as possible that your yard will not be serviced that day.

Will I still have a weekly charge if my service is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances?

Yes, please understand that the following week there will be two weeks’ worth of waste to pick up. We do understand that a yard can only be allowed to become so messy before it needs to be cleaned. In the event of an extended illness or injury, if you would like to clean your own yard, we would be happy to issue you a credit. Olympic Pooper Scooper will, of course, do its best to keep these types of situations to a minimum.

Yes, please.

We do not climb or jump over fences, so please leave your gate unlocked on service days.

You may arrange to leave a key in a hide-a-key location, which will be noted in your client file, or have an accessible padlock with a code that is noted in your client file.

Will I be billed if I forget to unlock my gate, or the dog will not let you into the yard?

Yes, because we have to cover travel time to your location and there will be twice the waste to pick up the following week.

Olympic Pooper Scooper understands that people go on vacation and take their dogs with them, and there may be a few days each year where that skips your service day.

In such cases, we ask for as much notice as possible (at least 24 hours) so that we may fill your spot with another customer.

Please understand that Olympic Pooper Scooper reserves a time slot for your yard every week.

Excessive skipped days will result in a removal from my service. When you are ready to reinstate a regular service schedule, please reach out again at that point.

Dog waste blends into tall grass, weeds, leaves, twigs, fallen fruit, etc. If you choose to let your yard go, Olympic Pooper Scooper cannot guarantee removal of all waste…
